As Produce Manager, you'll take ownership of one of the store's busiest departments, ensuring exceptional freshness, presentation and availability every day.
You'll lead a dedicated team, manage stock and waste, drive sales performance and create an outstanding shopping experience for both locals and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Produce department
- Coach, mentor and develop a high-performing team
- Maintain exceptional freshness, merchandising and presentation standards
- Manage ordering, inventory, stock rotation and waste control
- Drive department sales, profitability and KPIs
- Ensure food safety and compliance standards are consistently met
- Deliver outstanding customer service and product knowledge
- Foster a positive and engaged team culture
You'll be a hands-on leader who enjoys working with fresh food and creating an exceptional customer experience.
You'll bring :
- Previous experience managing a Produce or Fresh Food department within a supermarket
- Strong knowledge of fresh produce, stock control and merchandising
- Proven ability to lead and develop teams
- Commercial awareness with experience achieving sales and margin targets
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
