One of New Zealand's leading retailers is seeking a Merchandise Systems Platform Planner to join their Support Office team. This is a fulltime role offering NZD110,000 to NZD120,000 per annum. You'll combine merchandise planning expertise with ownership of release assurance, regression testing, and change governance for their merchandise planning platform, ensuring system changes are safe, controlled, and aligned with business needs while managing a merchandise planning portfolio and supporting sales, margin, and inventory targets.
- Own release assurance, regression testing, and test documentation across the merchandise planning platform, assessing releases for trading and operational risk
- Build merchandise forecasts, budgets, open-to-buy, and category plans while analysing sales, demand, and inventory risks to support buying decisions
- Work cross-functionally with Merchandise, Data, Project teams, and external software vendors to coordinate feature, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing
- Five or more years of merchandise planning experience with strong knowledge of forecasting, budgeting, open-to-buy, and inventory management
- Proven experience testing complex business systems, including end-to-end and user acceptance testing, with demonstrated ability to manage defects and change requests
- Strong impact analytics capability, with the ability to turn data into commercial decisions and identify opportunities to improve merchandise systems and processes
- Excellent analytical, commercial, and problem-solving skills, with strong communication and stakeholder-management capability across cross-functional teams
- Experience working with external software vendors on releases and production support, with familiarity with release management or change delivery practices
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, or a related discipline
- Experience with Impact Analytics or a similar merchandise planning platform
- Certification or formal training in change management, quality assurance, or project delivery methodologies
