About the Role
As a Department Manager, you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day running of a busy department, balancing hands-on service with team leadership and operational responsibility.
- Leading and supporting the team on the shop floor
- Delivering exceptional customer service and product knowledge
- Maintaining high standards of presentation, quality and food safety
- Managing day-to-day department operations
- Supporting team performance, training and development
- Taking ownership and responsibility when senior managers are not on site
- Working closely with the wider leadership team to achieve store targets
- Being hands-on and leading by example
We’re looking for someone who is energetic, confident and genuinely enjoys working with people and great food.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Previous experience in grocery or hospitality is preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience leading or supervising a team
- A hands-on approach and willingness to get stuck in

- Strong organisation and attention to detail
