An opportunity has become available for an experienced Credit Team Leader to join a national wholesale organisation supporting one of Australia’s largest retail supply networks.
Reporting to the Commercial Credit Manager, this role will act as a key operational leader within the credit function, leading a team responsible for managing customer ledgers and collections across a national customer base.
You will play a critical role in strengthening team capability, improving collections performance and supporting the ongoing evolution of the credit function.
This is a 12 month contract role based in South Brisbane with opportunity to grow into a permanent role - three days per week in the office.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading and developing a team of Credit Officers managing customer ledgers and collections
- Managing escalated customer accounts and complex credit matters
- Driving improvements in collections performance and team KPIs
- Coaching and developing team members to build capability and consistency
- Acting as the operational second in command to the Commercial Credit Manager
- Building strong relationships with customer service and commercial stakeholders
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across credit operations
- Proven experience leading credit or collections teams in a fast paced environment
- Strong end to end knowledge of credit management and debtor ledger processes
- Confidence managing performance and developing team capability
- Ability to build strong relationships across commercial and operational teams
- A proactive leadership style with the ability to drive improvements in team performance
- Experience within wholesale, retail, FMCG or large corporate environments will be highly regarded.
