Brand Manager

The Brand:
Christchurch-based consumer brand business with a reputation for doing things differently. They are a tight-knit, entrepreneurial team who live and breathe the brands they represent — a carefully curated portfolio of premium international outdoor, athletic, and lifestyle labels that people who love performance and adventure actually wear and trust. This is a business built on genuine passion for product, strong supplier partnerships, and a relentless focus on doing right by their brands and their retail partners.

We're looking for a genuine triple threat — someone who is equally at home closing a commercial deal, leading a marketing campaign, and interrogating a P&L. You'll sit at management level, report directly to the Directors, and have your own team around you covering sales, marketing, account management, and customer service.

What the role offers:
  • $100k - $120k base salary plus company car
  • Travel across New Zealand and Australia, plus international trips  including Europe

What you'll be responsible for:
  • Full end-to-end ownership of brand performance across your portfolio
  • Developing and executing sales strategy across wholesale, retail, and ecommerce channels
  • Leading marketing execution to ensure each brand shows up authentically in the market
  • Inventory planning and forecasting to keep the business trading at its best
  • Managing international supplier relationships and acting as the primary point of contact
  • Driving commercial outcomes and P&L accountability across your brands
  • Leading and developing your team across sales, marketing, account management, and customer service
  • Travelling nationally across New Zealand and Australia to support retail partners and key accounts as well as Europe
What we're looking for:
  • 3–5 years in a brand management, commercial leadership, or senior leadership team environment
  • A genuine triple threat across sales, finance, and marketing
  • Experience in performance, outdoor, footwear, or athletic brands — or a deep personal passion for the industry
  • Established wholesale or specialty retail channel relationships
  • Someone who lives and breathes the industry and brings an existing network with them
