Boutique Manager

As Boutique Manager, you’ll take ownership of the flagship store, bringing together your fashion expertise, commercial awareness and people leadership to create a welcoming, personalised shopping experience for a loyal clientele. This is a role for someone who understands that premium retail is about more than transactions — it’s about knowing your customers, understanding their style and making every visit memorable.

About the Role
You’ll lead a close-knit team of approximately five, including experienced team members and casual support, while overseeing the day-to-day running of this established boutique. With a strong base of loyal VIP customers, you’ll have the opportunity to build on existing relationships, nurture the team and maintain the high standards expected of a flagship location.

You’ll enjoy autonomy in how you run the store, with the support of an experienced retail leadership team. Rather than a high-pressure, commission-driven environment, the focus is on thoughtful styling, excellent service, strong teamwork and achieving shared store sales targets.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
  • Leading, coaching and supporting a small, experienced team.
  • Delivering personalised styling advice and exceptional customer service.
  • Building lasting relationships with loyal customers and VIP clientele.
  • Driving store performance and achieving sales targets based on historical results.
  • Overseeing daily operations, including monthly rostering and staff coordination.
  • Maintaining excellent visual merchandising and boutique presentation.
  • Creating a positive, collaborative team culture that reflects the brand’s values.
  • Taking ownership of the store and making confident decisions to support its success.
About You
You’re an experienced fashion retail leader who understands premium boutique retail and enjoys developing meaningful connections with customers. You’ll bring a natural confidence, strong personal style and the ability to lead a team with warmth and professionalism.

Ideally, you’ll have:
  • Previous experience managing or leading a fashion boutique.
  • A strong background in fashion retail, styling and personalised client service.
  • Confidence working with discerning customers and building long-term relationships.
  • Proven people leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team without being overly directive.
  • A hands-on approach to store operations, presentation and team development.
  • Strong organisation and communication skills.
  • The maturity and initiative to run a boutique with autonomy while working within an established brand framework.
Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand. Candidates will need to hold valid New Zealand work rights to be considered for this position.
