About the Role
We're looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support the daily operations of a busy Mount Pritchard store. This role suits someone who thrives in a fast‑paced retail environment, enjoys leading people, and wants to make a genuine difference in the community.
You'll be responsible for:
- Supporting the Store Manager with planning, operations, and store performance
- Driving revenue and helping the store achieve sales and surplus targets
- Ensuring all transactions, banking, and reporting are accurate and compliant
- Assisting with staffing levels and managing the store when the Store Manager is away
- Training, coaching, and supporting staff and volunteers
- Maintaining strong stock levels, quality standards, pricing accuracy, and merchandising
- Delivering excellent customer service and handling feedback professionally
- Supporting welfare clients with confidentiality and care
- Upholding a safe, clean, and welcoming store environment
You bring:
- A customer‑centric approach and commitment to great service
- Experience achieving sales and KPI targets
- Strong people‑leadership skills, including coaching and motivating teams
- Excellent communication, influencing, and problem‑solving skills
- Confidence in analysing stock and merchandising to maximise sales
- A genuine interest in developing staff and volunteers
- An interest in retail fashion or visual merchandising is a bonus
