Assistant Store Manager

We are partnering with a well-established New Zealand homewares and lifestyle retailer to find an experienced Assistant Store Manager for their Mt Wellington store. This is an excellent opportunity to join a design-led retail brand that values craftsmanship, colour, and quality materials.

Working alongside a highly experienced Store Manager who has progressed internally from Assistant Store Manager to Store Manager, you will support a close-knit team of 8 staff and play a key role in driving sales performance, maintaining high store standards, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Store Manager in driving sales and customer experience
  • Maintain strong operational standards, including admin and paperwork
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the store team
  • Ensure store presentation and visual standards are upheld at all times
About You
  • Retail leadership experience (does not have to be homewares but is advantageous)
  • A genuine interest in colour, interiors, materials, furniture, or homewares
  • Professional presentation and confident communication style
  • Detail-focused, organised, and commercially minded
