About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected community-focused supermarket as an Assistant Store Manager and play a key role in supporting the Store Manager to drive operational success.
Based in Home Hill, you'll work closely with the Store Manager to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, maintain high standards across the business, and deliver an exceptional shopping experience for customers.
This role would suit an experienced retail leader, Department Manager, Duty Manager or Assistant Store Manager looking to further develop their career within a supportive and community-focused business.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in overseeing day-to-day store operations, including stock management, merchandising and store presentation
• Lead, coach and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service
• Support rostering, recruitment, onboarding and team development initiatives
• Assist with performance management and creating a positive team culture
• Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace health & safety and company standards
• Support sales growth, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction initiatives
About You
• Previous experience in a retail leadership, supervisory or management role
• FMCG, supermarket, large-format or high-volume retail experience highly regarded
• Strong leadership and team-building skills
• Passion for customer service and developing people
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
