Your New Role:
As Assistant Store Manager, you will help set the pace for the day, keeping the team focused, the floor running smoothly and priorities moving in the right direction.
You will work closely with the wider leadership team, step up as Manager on Duty and stay connected to what is happening across the store. From shifting team coverage to supporting development and keeping standards high, you will play a key role in making sure the store delivers a strong result every day.
This is a role for someone who likes to be involved, enjoys leading from the floor and can bring calm, direction and energy to a busy environment.
What You’ll Get Up To:
- Lead from the floor and keep the team focused, engaged and moving throughout each shift
- Direct floor coverage and adjust priorities as customer demand and stock flow change
- Coach and support team members while helping to build confidence, capability and future leaders
- Keep presentation standards high and make sure the right product is available in the right place
- Support registers, fitting rooms, donor areas and the overall customer experience
- Assist with opening, closing, cash procedures, safety and loss prevention
- Bring energy to the floor and help create a positive and productive team environment
- Previous leadership experience within a busy, high volume retail environment
- Confidence directing a team and keeping productivity on track
- A strong people focus with experience coaching, developing and motivating others
- Comfort working in a fast moving store where priorities can change quickly
- Commercial awareness with an interest in sales, service and store performance
- Experience within big box, large format or high stock volume retail will be highly regarded
- Adaptable, practical and happy to jump in wherever needed
