About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced retail leader to join a high-volume store as an Assistant Retail Manager. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll support the Retail Manager in driving daily operations, leading the team and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Acting as the Manager on Duty, you'll lead by example on the shop floor, oversee daily trading, coach team members and ensure operational standards are consistently achieved in a fast-paced retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Manager on Duty, overseeing the day-to-day operation of the store.
- Lead, coach and support retail team members to deliver outstanding customer service.
- Supervise checkout operations and ensure efficient front-end performance.
- Drive productivity through effective floor management and stock recovery.
- Manage cash handling, banking procedures and daily reconciliation.
- Support loss prevention, safety and operational compliance.
- Assist with training, coaching and developing team members.
- Previous leadership experience within a high-volume retail, hospitality or quick service environment.
- Strong ability to lead, motivate and develop a fast-paced team.
- Confident managing cash handling, banking and daily operational procedures.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
- Strong communication skills and a hands-on leadership style.
