Assistant Retail Manager
About your new role
You will act as the manager on duty, running fast-paced floor shifts and directing cashiers and retail team members. Your focus is driving daily productivity by keeping checkouts efficient, managing fitting rooms and ensuring high-volume stock recovery standards are met.

Base salary of $64k plus superannuation
Rotating 2 to 4 week roster including nights and weekends

Key responsibilities
Fulfill manager on duty responsibilities on the retail floor.
Direct and guide cashiers and floor team members on shift.
Supervise register operations to ensure quick customer service.
Manage customer area recovery, item sizing and pricing logic.
Perform morning accounting and cash banking procedures.
Coach and train team members on safety and loss prevention.
Skills and experience we are looking for
Background in high-volume retail or fast food environments.
Strong mathematical skills for handling cash and banking.
Ability to direct, organize and manage floor tasks.
Ability to observe work and provide candid staff coaching.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
