About the Role
This is a rare opportunity to lead two brand-new stores for a premium Australian menswear retailer as it enters the Canberra market. As Assistant Manager, you’ll take full ownership of your business supporting the Store Managers. You’ll be responsible for leading a high-performing team, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and setting the standard for what premium menswear retail should look like. In this newly created role, you’ll work closely with head office, providing valuable feedback on product trends, local customer preferences, and store operations. It’s a hands-on leadership opportunity with real influence, ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
What You Need
- At least 1-2 years’ experience leading in a retail environment—menswear or fashion retail preferred
- A proven ability to inspire and coach a top-performing team
- Strong commercial instincts, with a track record of driving sales, executing visual merchandising, and improving store performance
- Confident, clear communicator who connects easily with customers, team members, and head office
- A sharp eye for menswear trends and a genuine passion for premium retail
- Comfortable navigating change and pace—you thrive in dynamic, evolving environments
- Availability to work weekends as part of a flexible full-time schedule
- $68k salary + super + fortnightly bonus structure
