The Role
As the Area Manager, you will join the leadership team to champion operational excellence, profitability, and customer satisfaction across a tailored 5-store footprint. You will be a hands-on mentor who bridges the gap between support office strategy and in-store execution, empowering Store Managers to set new benchmarks in retail standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Coaching: Lead, influence, and motivate on a daily basis, developing and coaching Store Managers to foster a high-performance team culture.
- Operational Excellence: Drive profitability and high store standards through optimized store processes, inventory control, and meticulous merchandising.
- Strategic Best Practice: Revise and instill best business practices across your portfolio to streamline efficiency and elevate the fresh food offering.
- Stakeholder Management: Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with internal teams, store staff, and external vendors.
- Market Performance: Analyze performance data and local market trends to identify new growth opportunities and drive customer engagement.
- Multi-Site Grocery Experience: Proven background in multi-site retail management (Area Manager, Cluster Manager, or equivalent) specifically within the supermarket or grocery sector.
- Inspirational Leadership: A genuine, energetic, and solution-focused approach to building, mentoring, and developing your teams.
- Business Acumen: Strong understanding of financial metrics, P&L management, and how to effectively influence store margins and profitability.
- High Standards: Exceptional attention to detail regarding store execution, compliance, and fresh food presentations.

- Remuneration: Salary package starting from $120,000 + Super + Tools of the Trade (dependent on experience) + Performance Bonus.
