Your New Role:

As Area Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of stores across Melbourne and play a key part in keeping performance strong across sales, team culture, customer experience and day-to-day operations. This is a very hands-on role for someone who likes being in store, working alongside their teams and leading from the front. It is not a role for someone who wants to manage from behind a screen.

You will spend your time out in the business coaching Store Managers, helping teams lift results, keeping stores aligned to brand standards and making sure each location is set up to perform. You will be close to the detail, involved in the people side of the business and confident stepping onto the shop floor to support, guide and drive momentum when needed.

What You’ll Get Up To:
  • Lead a portfolio of stores across Melbourne and keep a close connection to what is happening in each location
  • Work side by side with Store Managers and their teams in store to build capability, lift performance and keep culture strong
  • Drive sales results through consistent coaching, commercial direction and hands-on leadership on the shop floor
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and performance conversations across your store network
  • Make sure operational standards are high and that each store is running well day to day
  • Partner with teams around customer experience, service standards and product knowledge
  • Maintain strong visual merchandising standards and work with stores to keep presentation sharp and commercially effective
  • Support new store activity and help teams navigate change, growth and evolving business needs
The Experience Checklist:
  • 2+ years’ experience in an Area Manager role within a fast paced retail environment such as fashion, footwear or accessories
  • A genuine hands-on leadership style with the ability to build trust and credibility in store with teams
  • Strong experience across coaching, recruitment, team development and performance management
  • A solid commercial mindset with the ability to drive sales, spot opportunities and respond quickly when stores need support
  • Confidence in leading customer experience standards and creating consistency across multiple sites
  • Strong visual merchandising awareness and an understanding of how presentation connects to performance
  • A valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle with travel required across the network (travel allowance included in package)
