Assistant Showroom Manager | Auckland_NewZealand

Seeking a passionate, professional & sales focused retail leader for an immaculate luxury furniture Showroom in Newmarket!

The role:
As the Assistant Store Manager, you will coach and mentor your high-performing sales consultants to success. You will focus on building and developing your team's confidence in exceeding sales and service standards while being responsible for overall store operations and Showroom presentation. Assisting in sales initiatives to move the needle in New Zealand. If selling to elite clients who have a strong affinity for luxury goods is not out of the ordinary for you - then this is a fantastic opportunity!

Responsibilities:
  • Inspire and influence a sales culture by leading from the front
  • Demonstrate leadership and build team engagement
  • Continual development of your sales team's overall product knowledge
  • Administrative/operational support to the Store Manager and Head Office HR
  • Support and develop your strong team of 10 interior design/sales consultants
  • Build customer loyalty by maintaining genuine relationships
  • Managing escalations through exceptional communication skills  
  • Maintaining outstanding store presentation and creative visual appeal as well as ticketing
  • Timesheets/ Rosters
  • Inventory Management - including stocktakes and cycle counts
  • Contribute to the store's sales success & earn whilst you do!
You will have:
  • 3+ years of retail leadership experience within a design or luxury setting
  • Proven sales drive & ability to bring strong results
  • A second-to-none customer-centric attitude
  • Exceptional visual merchandising skills and creative ideas
  • Seamless communication style and confident admin skills
  • Ability to be adaptable, resilient, and approachable with your team
  • Exceptional self-presentation and professionalism
