This is your chance to take charge of a thriving, large-format retail environment that locals trust and love. As Head of Showroom, you’ll oversee key departments including Bathroom, Plumbing, Kitchen, Flooring, Storage, Electrical, Lighting, and Paint — leading a passionate team to deliver an exceptional experience and strong results.
You’ll work alongside a long-standing Retail Manager who empowers their people, giving you the freedom to influence, improve, and grow your department’s performance.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and inspire a team of up to 20, supported by your capable 2IC
• Drive sales, profit, and customer experience through strong leadership
• Manage stock, inventory, merchandising, and operational standards
• Collaborate with the Retail Manager to streamline processes and boost performance
• Ensure Health & Safety and HR compliance across your department

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years of retail management experience (big box, trade, showroom or FMCG ideal)
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team
• Operational know-how and confidence managing complex departments
• A practical, down-to-earth leadership style that builds trust and results
• Full NZ working rights
