Please Note: This role will be based in Sydney. Your New Role: This is a ground up leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys building structure and seeing it through. You’ll take the lead on multiple new projects across the country - overseeing everything from people and process to store execution and commercial outcomes.
It’s a perfect blend of strategy, retail operations and hands-on leadership.
- Lead the national network across metro and regional stores managing recruitment site planning fit-outs and launches
- Build a scalable team structure to support launches and long-term growth including hiring and developing Regional and Store Managers
- Set commercial plans focused on key retail drivers like UPT conversion wage efficiency and channel profitability
- Establish operational frameworks to ensure smooth daily trade brand consistency and strong in-store execution
- Develop and implement a national retail strategy to drive customer acquisition repeat business and store rankings
- Partner with Executive and Planning teams to forecast manage stock and respond to trade trends in real time
- Lead quarterly business reviews with internal and department store partners to align on results and opportunities
- Champion a hands-on retail culture by being visible setting expectations recognising success and coaching teams
- Oversee visual standards and in-store presentation to maintain brand consistency across the country.
- Use customer data and insights to refine service floor layouts and team structure as needed
- Drive talent planning succession retention and senior retail recruitment in partnership with People & Culture
- Represent retail leadership in meetings using data to advocate for your team customers and commercial goals
The Experience Checklist: - Proven experience of 7+ years in a national or senior multi-state retail role, ideally within the Australian contemporary fashion space.
- Experience managing multiple brands or labels within a single group, with an understanding of how to protect and deliver on individual brand identities while aligning to shared commercial goals.
- Strong background in launching new store networks across different formats – including recruitment, operations and trade readiness.
- Confident leading multi-brand or multi-category teams with a clear understanding of brand individuality and customer experience.
- Experienced in partnering with cross functional teams across planning, marketing, VM, HR and executive leadership.
- Confident managing high level relationships with retail partners or landlords, balancing brand goals with commercial expectations.
