About The Brand: 
A NZ owned and operated high-end brand renowned for quality, style, and exceptional customer service. Their store offers a curated selection of homewares, furniture, and décor, designed to inspire their customers and elevate their living spaces.

The Role:
As 2IC, you will lead from the front supporting the Showroom Manager while delivering an exceptional, personalised shopping experience to their clientele. You will play a key role in driving sales, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring the store reflects their premium brand standards.


Benefits: 

  • Hourly rate or $36.00–$39.00 (based on experience)
  • Work/Life balance - Sunday-Thursday roster with no late nights (34 hours p/w) 
  • Monthly sales bonuses after 90 days, based on team performance
  • Close-knit Grey Lynn team of 6, part of a wider 17-person brand

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver an exceptional, personalised customer experience, building strong relationships with new and returning customers
  • Meet and exceed store sales targets through nurturing existing client database & growing new customers 
  • Understand and communicate product knowledge across the full range of homewares, furniture, and décor
  • Provide expert styling and design advice tailored to customer needs
  • Support the Showroom Manager in day-to-day operations with a team of 6
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and motivated team environment
Skills & Attributes Required:
  • Leadership experience in premium homeware/furniture sales (consultative/boutique style fashion/jewellery/art/accessories could also be considered)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong commercial acumen and sales-driven mindset
  • Passion for homeware, interior design, and styling
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and motivated by shared success
  • Organised, proactive, and detail-oriented
  • Personable, approachable, and able to build rapport quickly
