About the Role This is a senior leadership role focused on managing the commercial performance of the New Zealand market across a multi-brand portfolio within the lifestyle, outdoor, and footwear categories.
As the NZ Country Manager, you’ll take full ownership of the retail account network across the country — driving sales, deepening retail relationships, and executing brand and product strategies that maximise growth. This is a highly autonomous and visible role, ideal for a confident sales leader with a hands-on approach and strong commercial instincts.
You’ll work closely with Australian-based Product and Brand Managers to deliver on seasonal targets, shape future ranges, and ensure your territory is positioned for long-term success.
Key Responsibilities - Manage and grow the network of retail and wholesale accounts across NZ
- Set and deliver seasonal sales and margin targets per brand
- Identify and execute growth opportunities within existing and new partners
- Work closely with internal brand and product teams to shape future ranges
- Provide territory-specific market feedback, sales commentary, and performance reporting
- Lead account planning, promotional activity, and seasonal forecasting
- Manage all sales, order deadlines, and go-to-market timelines across brands
- Deliver training and marketing support tailored to key accounts
- Represent the NZ market in cross-functional product and brand meetings
- Provide regular competitive analysis across categories
Who We’re Looking For - Proven background in sales, account, or territory management (ideally in outdoor, lifestyle, footwear or sporting goods)
- Strong commercial mindset and understanding of sell-through, stock management, and margin strategy
- High level of autonomy, initiative, and ability to spot and act on market opportunities
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
- Able to work cross-functionally and represent NZ market needs clearly
- Experience in seasonal planning, reporting, and category growth strategy
- Willingness to travel as required nationally and occasionally internationally
