The Role:
As Produce Manager, you’ll be responsible for the overall performance of the Fruit & Veg department, leading your team to deliver fresh, appealing displays and ensuring high quality and food safety standards are maintained. You’ll collaborate closely with store leadership to exceed customer expectations and build a strong, efficient team culture.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead, coach, and inspire your Fruit & Veg team
• Maintain high standards in stock quality, rotation, and presentation
• Manage inventory, ordering, and waste control
• Build team rosters and manage resources for peak trading periods
• Work closely with the Store Manager to enhance customer experience
• Ensure compliance with food safety and company policies
• Bring energy, initiative, and a “fresh-first” mindset to daily operations

About You:

• Proven experience leading a fresh produce department in a supermarket environment
• Strong leadership and people development skills
• High attention to detail and passion for quality standards
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Customer-first approach with strong stock control and merchandising know-how
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
